Are you a great person who’s been persecuted? Perhaps you’ve experienced rejection. It’s almost like there’s a satanic concentration on you. All great people are rejected.

Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds. The mediocre mind cannot understand the man who refuses to bow unthinkingly to conventional prejudices and chooses to express his opinions courageously and honestly. Great, great spirits have always encountered violent opposition. Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’s sake!

Does something feel threatened by your strength? Or the greatness that is being birthed in you? People cannot control you. They, the persecutors, are threatened by your level of influence, your personality, and your wealth. Your anointing threatens them. Your differences threaten them. You’ll never be like them. You don’t expect the same things. You don’t think like them. You don’t act like them.

They resent the fact that you have a certain pedigree, favor, and look a certain way. You are intelligent. You have opportunities that maybe they still need to have. You have power that they feel they don’t have. You have a temperament that’s structured differently. You have strengths they don’t have.

Persecuting you is a sign of your persecutors’ weakness. It is a sign of their fear and not their courage.  It is a sign of their insecurity, not their security. This is a sign of the persecutors’ self-doubt. Persecution happens all over every day! 

When people persecute you, they want to drive you away from success. Satan is a persecutor who prefers to drive you out of the presence of God. Satan’s goal is to drive you away from what God is doing in your life. That’s right, to drive you out of a position of power, a position of holiness. The goal is for you to resign, saying it’s not worth it. Behind persecution, there is a principality. Genesis 26:12

Blessed are they that are persecuted for righteousness sake; for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
